It is always interesting to compare what a successful politician will say to get elected in a Presidential campaign and what subsequently happens. For example, many people remember George Bush's (41) famous campaign pledge of "Read My Lips, No New Taxes" in the 1988 Presidential campaign only to propose raising taxes after his Election Day victory.
