The John Edwards Fairy Tale Campaign Of 2008
Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 02:14PM The headline from CBS.com on July 24, 2008 told the bleak story of the nation's largest newspaper chains. "NEWSPAPER PROFITS PLUMMET, FUTURE BLEAK", the headline read. Meanwhile, the future also looks increasingly challenging for national network and cable news as well, as more and more people decide to get their daily news from the Internet.
A Question Of Media Objectivity in Election 2008
Friday, July 25, 2008 at 10:50AM The campaign of Republican John McCain has just released two web videos which highlight what the campaign feels is a national media bias in favor of Democrat Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential election. It is asking people to vote for their favorite video.
No Change Or Straight Talk, Just Flip Flop
Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:16AM I watched the HBO miniseries on John Adams during the fourth of July weekend. The miniseries is based on the book by David McCullough on the second President of the United States. The movie portrays a somewhat vain fellow who was not a very skilled diplomat and detested the notion of compromise.

Politics-Election 2008 The Twelve States That Will Decide Election 2008
Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 06:53PM Between now and Election Day, you will see both Barack Obama and John McCain campaigning almost exclusively in these twelve states. If you happen to live in any of these states, you should be preparing yourself for a media blitz that will surely make you dream of a quiet, remote vacation long before Election Day.
A Republican Vice President For The Next Generation
Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 07:59PM The Republicans are in trouble in the 2008 Presidential election. John McCain is the nominee for a political party that has lost its brand identity. In fact, public opinion polls show that McCain is only competitive with Barack Obama because of his history of independence from the Republican Party mainstream.
The Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign Of 2012
Friday, May 23, 2008 at 07:58PM Hillary Clinton's campaign for the Democratic Party Presidential nomination has been over since early March. However, during the last two months, the Clinton campaign has exploited some very dubious Democratic primary election rules and a compliant media which profits from an uncertain Presidential race, to continue to run her failed Presidential campaign.
The Ron Paul Revolution And Republican Renewal
Friday, May 9, 2008 at 08:40PM There may be a disaster coming in the 2008 election in November for the Republican Party. The recent defeat in the special election for Louisiana's Sixth Congressional District where Republican Woody Jenkins lost to Democrat Don Cazayoux is just the latest confirmation of how precarious the situation has become.

1 Comment | Will The Real Barack Obama Please Stand Up
Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 07:40PM The media reaction to the recent ABC Presidential debate in Pennsylvania was almost unanimous. Television moderators Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos were widely ridiculed for not asking a single question on an issue of political substance for more than the first fifty minutes of the Presidential debate. Indeed, there was not a single question on health care, the war in Iraq, the economy, illegal immigration, social security, or any other of the important challenges and issues facing America today.
Iraq War Could Expand Into Iran By Election Day
Friday, April 11, 2008 at 09:34PM The Democratic presidential primary will be over soon. Eventually, New York Senator, Hillary Clinton, will have to concede the Democratic party nomination fight to Barrack Obama.

1 Comment | Democrat's Stalemate Bodes Well For John McCain
Friday, March 28, 2008 at 07:45PM This should be a year that the Democratic Party sweeps to victory. The Democrats have an unpopular Republican war in Iraq to talk about. President George W. Bush is very unpopular in all the national public opinion polls. The Republican brand of less government, lower taxes, and less spending has been badly damaged during the last few years of dubious congressional stewardship. In addition, the next several months are likely to bring the prospect of an economic recession to the country.
A Second Place Finish Does Not Mean Victory
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 02:50PM The Democratic primary campaign for the party's nomination will continue at least until the Pennsylvania primary in about six weeks. Hillary Clinton may continue to contest the race into the beginning of the summer and maybe even right up until the August convention.
Hope This Middle East War Is A Bad Dream
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 07:54PM I had a disturbing dream about war, politics, and the result of the 2008 Presidential election the other day. Like many dreams, it was created from a combination of current events like the war in Iraq and the 2008 Presidential election mixed with a healthy dose of United States foreign policy insecurity.
Three Ways To Steal The Democratic Party Nomination
Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 07:06PM You have to question the wisdom of any political party that establishes obscure rules in which to elect candidates for its Presidential nomination. There appears to have been no planning, vision, or foresight in the establishment of the Democratic Party's convention rules.
Obama Appears Inevitable While Clinton Only Has Hope
Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 04:47PM Political pundits are beginning to sense an end to the Presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. Last week Peggy Noonan wrote a column questioning how gracious Hillary Clinton would be in defeat. This week Dick Morris predicted an eventual nomination victory for Barack Obama and the end of the pursuit of the White House by the former First Lady.
No Brokered Convention For The 2008 Presidential Election
Friday, February 1, 2008 at 05:52PM Updated on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 09:46AM by
James Smith
The country is intrigued by the possibility of a brokered convention. Pundits and observers of the 2008 election have speculated that the nominee for either the Democratic or Republican Party may not be resolved until the convention in the late summer.
A Makeover For The Hillary Clinton Of "Yesterday"
Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 07:43PM I walked into Dunkin' Donuts two days before what would be a very close New Hampshire primary. As I was ordering my egg and cheese on a plain bagel (toasted), I glanced down at the newspaper stand near the counter. The Boston Herald had a front page headline that morning which exclaimed: "She's So Yesterday". The picture under the headline caption showed the face of an aging Hillary Clinton. Her picture was accompanied by an image of the vinyl record of the Beatles hit "Yesterday ".

1 Comment | The Iowa Caucus And The 2008 Presidential Election
Friday, January 4, 2008 at 07:23PM The election results from Iowa were everywhere this morning. Pundits in newspapers and on television and radio were proclaiming the rise of Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee. The experts were examining the disappointing results from Iowa to the campaigns of Mitt Romney, Hillary Clinton, Fred Thompson, and John Edwards.
Ron Paul May Have Ignited A Political Movement
Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 07:14PM Six months ago I glanced at the political campaign sign of this little known candidate on the corner of my street and thought he was running for the local school committee. A few weeks later I learned that the man is a doctor and military surgeon. He is 72 years old and a ten term Republican congressman from Texas running for President of the United States in the 2008 election.
The Last Man Standing Could Be John McCain
Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 08:31PM His Presidential campaign was left for dead by almost everyone in the late summer of 2007. (See the Straight Talk Express Will Not Reach its Final Destination on eworldvu.com). Many of his senior advisors had quit his campaign or had been fired. In just six months, his campaign had run through its sizable financial war chest ($25 million) and was broke. However, these sad occurrences were not even his worst problem.

1 Comment | The Voters' New Year's Resolution
Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 07:41PM January is the month whose name indicates reflection and planning. The first calendar month is named after the two-faced Roman god Janus. It is a month when we look back at the past year and forward to the year to come. It is a time when more than 70 percent of us make New Year's resolutions.
