Toyota Cleared In Sudden Acceleration Hysteria

Sudden Acceleration

A little over a year ago, eWorldvu wrote about the national sudden acceleration hysteria-see below.

The national media and the United States government were telling Americans not to buy or drive dangerous and quality flawed Toyota cars.  Of course buying cars from Government Motors (GM) would be a much better choice.

So, after an intensive 10-month investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration what was actually found?

The conclusion of the investigation was that the most common cause of sudden acceleration in Toyota cars really was driver error. "Pedal misapplication" was the official term — in other words, drivers who thought they were stepping on the brakes but were actually stepping on the gas.

Based on the facts, where does Toyota now go to get their damaged reputation back?  The sad truth is that Transportation Secretary Ray Lahood is nothing more than a government hack and should immediately resign.

This Date In History

1929 - Seven members of Bugs Moran's gang were murdered by Al Capone's gang in Chicago in what became known as the St. Valentines Day Massacre. No one ever identified the gunman.

Have a great Valentine's Day and enjoy the song from Bruce Springsteen.
