Hosni Mubarak Resigns As Egypt's President
Friday, February 11, 2011 at 08:18PM After 18 days of Egyptian protest, President Hosni Mubarak resigns the Presidency of Egypt. Reports say that he will leave (after ruling for 3 decades) with billions of dollars.
Since the average Egyptian makes a little more than 3 dollars a day and is having trouble buying food, it is little wonder that there was a popular uprising in the Arab street.
U.S. Politics
The latest polls for the 2012 Presidential Elections show that Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee both slightly lead Barack Obama.
The Republicans should be playing hardball at this point over raising the deficit ceiling. Business as usual on government deficit spending just cannot continue.
The Democrats continue to pursue initiatives on man-made global warming and fixing the corrupt United Nations. Both are lost causes that will win them little future political gain.
Business And Investments
Stock Market continues to go up. Unemployment and under employment remain very high. Many companies like Kraft and Pepsico are seeing inflation with increasing processing costs while the Fed continues to print money in a program called QE2.
