President Joe Biden Is Only A Heartbeat Away

The political bias of the mainstream media can be seen through the lack of coverage of Joe Biden moments. The fact that many Americans have not heard more about the many political mistakes of the current Vice President highlight the double standard in the network news coverage of the two major political parties today.
By now everyone should know what a Joe Biden moment is. Its when voters just shake their head in amazement and wonder why an experienced, career politician would say such a dumb thing.
In the last Presidential campaign, Republican candidate Sarah Palin's qualifications to hold the office of Vice President were the subject of intense media scrutiny. As the watchdog in a free society, the media was selectively eager in the case of the Alaska Governor to fulfill the role it needs to play.
But, its also important to hold Democrat Joe Biden to the same political standard of scrutiny. It has now become even more important as those Joe Biden moments of the last campaign have continued to plague him in the office of Vice President.
Certainly, everyone should remember the many Joe Biden moments in Election 2008.
There was the time that Joe made the word "jobs" a three letter word and the day when he told a wheelchair bound state lawmaker to "stand up" and be seen . Biden incorrectly called Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin, a Lieutenant Governor as he described her as being intellectually incapable of holding the Vice Presidency.
Who can forget that town hall meeting in the State of New Hampshire after his selection to be Barack Obama’s, Vice President when he told everyone that Hillary Clinton had more qualifications to be the V.P. nominee than he did.
In fact, the list of Joe Biden moments during the last campaign were so numerous that it took real skill (and bias) for the mainstream media to consistently downplay them. Incredibly, Joe Biden did not even understand the responsibilities of the job that he was running for when he misstated the provision in the Constitution about the role of the Vice President.
A focus on the country’s economic decline provided still another classic Biden moment in 2008. Biden said that during the 1930's stock market crash, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the "princes of greed". Of course, history shows that FDR wasn't even President at the time and it was still too early to watch an invention called T.V..
Since becoming Vice President, the Joe Biden moments continue to keep on coming while the media continues to look the other way. In fact the list of his political gaffes seem to grow with each passing day. Biden recently promoted panic by telling everyone to stay off airplanes and the subway due to the spread of the swine flu, accidentally used inappropriate language on a live microphone and by mistake, called one Supreme Court Justice by another Justice’s name.
Still, these verbal gaffes and other political mistakes pale in comparison to press reports of the classified information that Biden strangely revealed during a recent Gridiron Dinner. Biden disclosed the existence and location of the secret fortified bunker designed to protect the sitting Vice President in case of a future terrorist attack.
Joe Biden moments continue to damage the integrity of the current Administration. Meanwhile, the mainstream media needs to begin to highlight the growing evidence of ineptitude of the Vice President without delay. Our current national reality is that the dubious prospect of Joe Biden as the next United States President is just a single heartbeat away.
