This site has been writing articles on politics, business and science for the last two years. Going forward, our intention is to use an understanding of what is happening in the world around us to also suggest investment opportunities for the small investor.
As a result, in the future, articles on this site that feature opinions of the news will also suggest financial opportunities for you to consider. Investment selections will be made in the World Of Investment Journal. We will track our portfolio performance against the performance of the S and P 500 to see how well we are doing over time.
It should be understood that all recommendations are only our opinion, even if these investment suggestions are based on many stock market cycles and years of brokerage experience. It should also be understood that before you make any investment, you should do your own due diligence and understand your own risk tolerance.
The stock market is a risky place to invest money and our goal is to try and limit that risk. We will suggest only high quality, large market capitalization stocks across a variety of industries. All selections will also be owned by us as a long term investment. We are not active traders but will sell any position when the fundamentals change on any of our selections and we will let you know when that occurs.
As shareholders, we want to be in businesses that we understand and want to own. Our retirement portfolio will feature selections with an intention to preserve capital while generating an above average return on investment from dividend paying stocks and bond mutual funds. We may also write covered call options on some positions to increase total return. We want to be paid to hold stock positions in the market.
The non-retirement growth portfolio will feature growth selections that we think should be held for the long term. Knowing that many people will find individual stock selections too risky, we will also select stock and bond mutual funds as well as exchange traded funds and closed end funds on occasion.
eWorldvu will do its best to make the small investor an informed investor through an understanding of world events and finance. However, always do you own due diligence before you actually invest any of your own hard earned dollars.
